I have checked with Jio technical head for the area and he also confirmed that the upload speed is capped at 1/8th of download speed on paid plans. He said 1/8 but it looks more like 1/10 from user reports.

I confirmed with the Jio Support, it's 1/10th and not 1/8th.

But, Whatever it is, it is bad. Not Cool!

For me, I might disconnect if they don't change in next 30 days or so.

@gomfi, you can keep it unrecharged as a secondary connection and use it by recharging weekly plan as backup when primary ISP has issues. Useful feature of prepaid broadband services. I plan to do that once Jio Fiber comes to area.
