Worst thing Amul has ever done. We need to stay away from such human rights violating World Cup. Most of the workers killed without compensation were our countrymen. In some instances they even kept dead bodies hostage for money.

Sad thing is while last WC was in Russia no one talked about Russian war crimes against Crimea and Georgia but when a Arab nation hosts a WC suddenly the western world have a lot to complain about. Yes there have been human rights violation I accept but the war crimes by Russia were even greater in my opinion. However since Russia is from UEFA all Western members were silent now since this is an Asian nation everyone is speaking out.

People that mattered did raise their voice against Russia. Royal Family didn't send any representative. Meanwhile Russia didn't abuse people and held dead bodies hostage to create infrastructure for the World Cup. Qatar's crimes are directly linked to World Cup. From bribery to slavery. Most things happened because they were awarded the rights.

To all those who think bribery never happened before for any WC rights awarding and that they were all given on merit is just fooling themselves corruption has been happening ever since FIFA started voting for the WC. SA got it most likely by corruption coz they were not favorites to host the WC when the WC came to Africa by any stretch of imagination.
In my opinion they should have done what they did for 2026 WC give 1 vote for each country but FIFA was corrupt by having only 24 people for voting with most of them being government officials holding official position in FIFA and the federations

Leaving bribery aside. There are other problems like human rights violation. You cannot justify awarding rights to a country with slavery, anti-LGBT and anti women to get rights. IMO these countries should be banned altogether from participating in any global events.

At the end of the day this is football tournament not a protest march for Womens rights or LGBTQ rights. People should understand that. There are certain rules that their country have you have to respect otherwise dont go there to play the WC. If England wanted to protest let them say we boycott the WC do they have the guts for that they dont. They will say we are against it we will not send our Royal family. To be frank who the hell cares whether the Royal Family visit or not? If you are serious about your protest say we boycott the World Cup dont participate.
There have been so many instances of countries boycotting the Olympics and in earlier years the WC too in protest. I would like to see one of the Western countries like US, UK, Germany, France come out and say there have been many human rights violation so we boycott the WC.
