In my opinion ISL has improved the quality of Indian players and there is a chance a small one that India might just qualify for the WC.

With some luck if we get a easy group and 1 or 2 results go our way we might just end in the next WC

Lot of luck involved but one can always hope

Japan, South Korea, Australia, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Iraq - these teams will lock 6 spots.

with 8+1 berths, there is a chance for 2-3 teams to get a WC spot.
For India it is really tough as there are definitely 5-6 teams playing better than us on any day.
Moreover, we are not finding more goal scorers other than Chhetri, who is not likely to play until 2026.
Manvir, Shivashakti, Pundita etc. should come up.
ISL is helping in overall improvement, but still most of the goal scorers are foreigners.
