Discovery seems to b taking PSL stream off internet to telecast on their channel, absolutely pathetic video n overall quality. Juddering visible bcoz of incompatible refresh rate and picture all choppy

Downlinking from satellite requires more cosy hence they must have looked to pull it off internet

True. Pathetic broadcast quality. Yes very low refresh rate and hence juddering is extremely visible especially is high motion scenes like in fast bowling and hard hittings. Don't know how it would be on HD broadcast

Juddering is visible bcoz they have set refresh rate at 60 Hz while India 50 Hz broadcast is followed, all our tv sets support just 50 Hz hence any signal of diff refresh rate will produce judder. I had even sent feedback to them on Feb 21 thru Twitter but no revert back received, had tagged Monica Tata ma'am too

yes, but 95% of dth boxes do not support 60hz broadcast hence if a channel transmits in 60 Hz then u will notice judder effect on ur tv. In India 50 Hz PAL broadcast is standard transmission format , if broadcasters want to hop on 60 Hz NTSC then all receiving / display equipments need to be made compatible
