After four successful seasons, the Pro Kabaddi League is set to take Indian sport by storm in 2017. According to InsideSport.com, the league will have 12 teams and 130 games in its fifth season this calendar year. India has been on a kabaddi high following three successful outings of the sport last year which included two seasons of the league and the World Cup, all in 2016.

The report in the website has even given information on where the new franchises will be from. It says, “Teams from Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana are set to join the eight existing franchisees – Bengal Warriors, Bengaluru Bulls, Dabang Delhi, Jaipur Pink Panthers, Patna Pirates, Puner Paltan, Telugu Titans and U Mumba. Among the four new franchisees, two of the new team owners are big names from Bollywood.”
