‘Ban IPL matches in Chennai’: Political groups call for boycott over Cauvery row.

With less than a week left for the Indian Premier League to begin, some political groups in Tamil Nadu have demanded that no match should take place in Chennai for the Cauvery Management Board has not yet been set up. A group of political parties, including Dravidar Viduthalai Kazhagam, Tamizhaga Vazhvurimai Katchi (TVK), Viduthalai Thamizh Puligal Katchi, Thamizhar Vidiyal Katchi and Social Democratic Party of India, called for a press meet on Wednesday to make this demand.

If IPL happens in Chennai, it will turn into Jallikattu

The call to boycott IPL matches played in Chennai to register Tamil Nadu's protest against the Centre's stance over not forming the Cauvery Management Board is gaining attention on social media. While some have been saying that the matches should be banned, others have said that nobody should go for the matches and that an empty stadium would send out a strong message.

The first match between the Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders is supposed to take place on April 10 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

If boycott ipl in chennai only 50000 people not able to see live in stadium. But they can view in online or television. If tamilnadu people's boycott TN and all media channels for one month. Its a big revolutionary of this protest.
