Breaking Petrol price down by Rs 10 in 6 weeks, diesel by Rs 8

In this matter, my point of view is different. I Am A TMC Suporter. But according to me, If Petrol/Diesel Price Rise News Shwon On TV Repeatedly, Then Petrol/Diesel Price Cut News Also Should Shown On TV.According to me Media always Should Be Neutral .

Chennai Petrol Price History

16 Apr 2014:- 74.60 rupees (max in 2014 on 01-Jul 76.93 rupees)
16 Jan 2015:- 61.38 rupees (max in 2015 on 16-Jun 70.12 rupees)
01 Jan 2016:- 59.77 rupees (max in 2016 on 17-Dec 68.41 rupees)
02 Jan 2017:- 70.07 rupees (max in 2017 on 16-Jan 74.43 rupees)
01 Jan 2018:- 72.53 rupees (max in 2018 on 04-Oct 87.39 rupees)

Today's price:- 75.62 rupees

This is the trend of rates in Chennai. It may look like they reduced the rates by few rupees after their ruling started. But at the same time, they increased rates to the worst in year 2018 and collected more from people. Now reducing to match to the level where we are in 2014 and even below in coming days before election to give a perception that they reduced. But we need to consider how much we paid in the span of 5 years and what was the price of crude oil then and now.

Nov 26th Petrol Price in Chennai is Rs 77.69

Change in percentage from Oct 3rd : 10.89%
Change in percentage from Nov 12th : 3.56%

Crude Oil Price

Crude Oil Price on Nov 26th - $ 50.42 / barrel

Change in percentage from Oct 3rd : 34.01%
Change in percentage from Nov 12th : 15.87%

From Oct 3rd Crude Oil Price is reduced 34.01% but Petrol Price reduced by only 10.89%

From Nov 12th Crude Oil Price is reduced 15.87% but Petrol Price reduced by only 3.56%

October 04, 2018 (NDA) - Rs 84 this is the highest retail price between 2014-2018.
