Really? Prime Video app doesn't works on my TV(s). I watched it on my phone in best quality. It consumed 962 mb.
Bt at the same if u stream same content in best quality, it consumes way more data.
I didn’t understand ‘Really’? As question was for someone who consumed 2.5 GB possibly on 📺

In tv it uses similar data. Try streaming on browser. Not on app. I streamed Blackmail. It barely consumed 700 mb data.

Bro it depends on which device youre using to watch prime videos

Prime Videos Android Mobile app doesnt have even 720P HD it's only SD so the best will consume only less than 1 GB.

Prime Video Android TV APP & Firestick APP has 720 P HD 1080 P HD and even 4 K for selected Contents,

So the highest quality option Best consumes FHD 6.4 GB per hour.

Better 720P HD consumes 1.4 GB per Hour.

Good SD consumes less than a GB for a whole movie.

Here the conclusion is one who consumed less data watched highest quality on mobile which is SD while one who consumed 2.6 GB used actually better option in desktop ie 720 P HD but thats known as best option in firestick.

Who said prime video Android app doesn't support HD...you just need a Widevine L1 device

All the Xiaomi phones comes with Widevine L3 certification. Then how can we can watch videos of YouTube, Hotstar and ZEE on 720p?

The apps you mentioned don't use DRM and the content isn't protected....only big players like Netflix and Amazon use Drm

Paid content of Hotstar and YouTube does use DRM. I specifically remember Voot not allowing us Redmi users to download videos offline due to unavailability of DRM support on our phones.
