If you make it less then still people will get fake income certificate from municipality/panchayet. Atleast there is a govt who thinks about poor general class people unlike previous govt who only provide benefit to certain catagory people even if they were rich

Most of the govt employees have income less than 8 lakh per annum. And keep in mind they are not poor. This step is just in desperation ahead of LS polls. Not gonna pass in parliament bcz tomorrow is the last day of this session. They are just hanging fruits at the end of their tenure. Why couldn't they pass it earlier in 4.5 years?? Bcz they know such bills will not get passed at all. Power hungry people will lose badly this time

These kind of desparation is not new in India. Did you forget 2008 UPA's Nation-wide farm loan waiver of Rs 700 billion just before election which help UPA 2 come back in power

Yes I remember.. yes UPA was bad. But people voted for Modi to change that ,not to play same political game that he vowed to change in 2014. What's the difference between them now? Both are equal. Infact there is an equation as well BJP= Cong+Cow. Just bcz of these kind of tactics people now are ready to remove them soon.

Who are eligible for the reservations?

• The people who earn less than Rs 8 lakh per annum
• People who have arable land below five acres
• People from families who have a house below 1000 sq ft
• Those who have plot below 100 yards in a notified municipality
• Those who have residential plot below 200 yards in a non-notified municipality area

Need to clear all 5 or any one to be eligible? Guess it's all 5.
