Finally its working as expected. If you choose, "show in notification bar" it will show in the bar as well as when scrolling down. If you choose, "show only in lock screen" it shows only there.

mine not showing if I choose "show in notification bar". Only 4G/3G showing (only network mode showing,not carrier name).

I have used Stock Android UI which feels very basic, limited and cheap IMO. Samsung UI looks so good and pro and using it is very simple and easy. I love it.

advantage of MIUI you can feel ios inspired UI on android .that too very simple way with additional customisation .
