A wise man once said that we get one opportunity to seize everything we wanted. That moment decides. Whether we capture it or let it slip?

Let's hope Micromax proves every hater wrong. They set up good customer service, provide great after sales service and make devices in India.

And may I ask where are these devices being manufactured? I missed the launch event.
Hoping for the same!

Phone will be assembled in India. So it will not be China made phone. It will be India made. Plus, If they won't satisfy the local content percentage and manufacture in India, they won't qualify for PLI scheme. They are using this PLI schemes to launch products at such a low cost. Otherwise it is not possible. So there is no reason to be disappointed for this. What the problem will be now is the after sales service and software bugs. Yu yureka phones had too many bugs with near clean Os. Same with Nokia phones. Stock android have many bugs that neede to be fixed. Hope they will do something about that.

Good to hear. I want a device under ₹4000 with Android Go for poor students who cannot afford smartphones to study online. Central Government should also subsides a scheme where they pay ₹500 on presenting a student ID. It will bring down the cost to ₹3500.

Yu Yureka's software was fine on launch. But battery life was horrible. Lenovo K3 Note and Redmi Note 4G were better competitor to it. Also they took forever and months of delay to finally provide a buggy marshmallow update. 😂 I think after Cyanogenmod got discontinued they switched to stock android.

After read ur post I'm afraid of what the consumer of micromax 1b & note 1 will think after they purchased 🙄

As someone who developed custom ROM in the past, I'm going to partially agree with this.

Stock Android is only the base upon which other manufacturers like Xiaomi, Oppo etc build their OS, by also meeting certain requirements by Google.

If you directly put the same Stock Android on phones, like Nokia, Mi A and Yu, it will have bugs, no matter what. Manufacturers have to work on the base to make it suitable for their phones.

Look at Nexus, Mi, Sony phones. Rarely ever heard of bugs from them software wise. Google phones though, have had issues at launch, but software issues have been largely fixed via OTAs.

Yeah may be because my father is using Mi A1 and sometimes it pops-up with some functional disorder.

In my case Yureka was awesome my father use smartphone very roughly he drops a lot. But, it served us very well.
Whereas Redmi Note 4G is awesome i brought it for my cousin which is still working well. Yeah it's true that it don't run app like GPay, Files by Google, etc. properly because of Android version. But, phone runs fine in all ways.
On another hand Lenovo K3 Note my cousin brought it. I still remember it was horrible experience ' hangs a lot ' and ' heating problem'.

The tablet include school app and books with no extra access to internet service like YouTube or PlayStore except Mailbox.
