Atleast 3-6 months time needed...

You can also register on Wishfin.com to check your CIBIL...It's a free & better service as well...Wishfin also has tie-ups with several banks for loans & cards but don't apply anything through them & just use the free CIBIL checking service...

Each agency have its own scoring methods, my score at cibil is 714, crif is 704 and Experian is 831. But i have never been denied any credit line in last 15 years. Infact many times i have been offered some of best premium credit card for free of cost, no joining or annual fees.
