How can they miss they are not promising to give update every month, just said regular updates.
He didn't say update every month, he meant what if they missed one of these 'regular' updates due to circumstances..

So what's he meant by regular updates? No company give time table for regular update. They could give update within one month of sale they could take 6-12 months for update. How he assumed that they will miss. Are they going to tell him that see this time we were providing updates but some circumstances occurred we will not provide.

Bro you serious? At least proofread before you post.
Apple, Samsung, OnePlus, Google laughing from distance 🤷🏼‍♂️

The ambiguity of when those updates will be given without a clear timeline causes erosion of trust from the users for the company.

This is exactly the scenario I (and probably @iDJ) were referring to in:

And that's when the company loses user trust. If they do end up taking this much time and very closely follow what the Z series is doing wrt the update situation, Lava will lose reputation on the software update front. Heck, even Xiaomi does a better job with updates than this Z series in the sub-15k range.

I believe it will be best if the thread gets closed down. Neither are we able to find something that's a 'befitting' reply in this thread, nor do we have something that shows Lava having a better timeframe of providing updates wrt to the company quoted in the CEO's tweet.

@Sparker0i you and me both are here let's see what happen next. Just hoping for the best.

I never heard this schedule for update nor I found. Kindly provide link.

Indeed. Useless thread. If some CEO in future start giving reply to random users on twitter. Will we have thread for each brand and device stating "befitting replies?"

This is not Apple vs Epic. Or feud between Realme and Xiaomi CEOs. This is just a random interaction.

Go and read the Press Releases of the devices announced from these 4 brands.
They've kept up with the promises they made at launch of their phones, sometimes going even better.
If they announced that they will give monthly/bimonthly security updates and n major version upgrades, they've pretty sure followed up on that...

Unlike such Indian brands who say 'regular' but not how regular...
