Why sony has sub-license to jio? sony have gud commentary but in jiostar really frustrating and picture wise sony has best quality of level is awesome now its awful on jiostar.

I think sony got feared of loss due to excess of cricket due to IPL and retirement of Virat and Rohit.. Viewership will certainly decline.So they agreed to share right's financial burden with Jiostar and decided to let go digital rights.. Jiostar will be happy as they want all indian team's cricket on Jiohotstar.

Also Star Ex executive Gaurav Banerjee Now CEO of Sony picture India, we can expect more similar moves from sony.

This is first if its kind because Sony had both TV and digital rights as part of its media rights package that it secured with ECB, but now Sony is sub licensing digital rights to Jiostar to stream exclusively in Jiohotstar to offload some expenses due to loss that may incur due to retirement of Rohit and Kohli. Whereas star and jio previously for IPL won the rights for TV and Digital packages respectively separately by themselves directly with BCCI

I know they are trying sell Hundred rights separately or who knows they may sell ECB New rights, ECB loves Reliance/Ambani involvement. just like BCCI, CSA and all IPL franchises favour MI/Ambani, they can't goes against them. Because everyone getting Reliance companies sponsorship. It's Big thing for every involved parties.

NO important cricket matches
NO new Hindi movies
NO new Telugu movies
NO new Tamil movies
NO new English movies
