The free preview offer is tied with the IMEI number used when getting the SIM using the SIM serial number. If we try the SIM in any other phone, only incoming works. This is what I got to know from Jio customer care.

But we are able to do out going calls using other volte enabled phones. All we need to do is activate the sim using registered mobile phone.

Tried just now. Both data and outgoing calls are working fine on my Moto g3 as well. So, cc as usual doesn't know this.

I received this sms on the alternate number saying "We have received your application. You order number..." at around 8 pm yesterday...
How long it will take to activate the sim...?

I received that message at 6:43pm yesterday and another at 9:05pm saying that the number was ready for tele verification. So it took roughly 2.5 hours for my number.
