Reliance Jio to get costlier soon: Here’s why Mukesh Ambani may raise telecom tariffs

Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Jio may soon increase the prices of its subscription plans as the company looks to reap profits on the hefty investments made by the company, a report said.

Reliance liabilities jump to $65 billion, Credit Suisse waves red flag

According to CS, RIL has been FCF negative for the past six years and this has resulted in financing liabilities increasing from $19 bn in FY15 to $65 bn in FY19.

Next week's AGM may have some surprises, with respect to pricing of Jio 4G that hasn't changed since inception almost 3 years ago.

If they increase prices then it would be equal to Airtel. Due to difference in Internet speeds of both carriers many customers will switch from Jio. Network is Jio is not stable enough yet, people are using it because it cheapest.

Wouldn't people boo at them if they announce increased price at an event?
Mota bhai surely knows how to convince people and change the way of their viewing. He wouldn't have been the best businessman if he didn't knew it. If you can't make someone think black is white even when it is actually black, you can't be a successful businessman.

Don't forget Airtel TV. It's much better than Jio Cinema. Airtel doesn't even need Indiacast. All they have to do is bring
Hotstar Sports. Everyone will switch to them.

Other than our current government. No one can convince people to be happy on price hikes. The only strategy I see is to remove daily data limit plans and introduce new plans.
Other operators eagerly waiting
Within a week they will also increase
Not gonna happen soon as people are already mad about those mandatory requirement to recharge.

And Jio is Government service replacing BSNL, unofficially. So its comes under your criteria. Now you accept. 🤷‍♂️:sneaky:
