Nice timing for passing the order by high court, they directed to block it when P**nh*b is offering 1 week free premium account as Halloween promotion.

As far as the legal status of p**nography is concerned, in India producing p**n is not allowed. However, accessing and watching it in a private place is allowed. The IT Act, at the same time, directs cyber cafe owners to ensure that p**nography is watched or accessed in open. The exception to this is the content that relates to child p**nography. child abuse, bestiality and related content.

Only 4 most used p**n sites are blocked by Jio. But other sites are running simply.
Major paid sites like B****** and T***4k are also blocked which contains no child p**nography or acts of beastiality. Ironically Sunny Leone's site is not blocked. Shouldn't it be banned as well for distributing p*** when it's illegal?

Jio blocking adult sites is a sad move. Its better not to use any of their products.

Don't know about proxies? I use proxy servers for various reasons, not for p**n though.. use proxy sites that'll do the work.

Only Government of India is asking telecom operators to block adult sites which is good in some sense. Anyway, people who wants to see the sites will use proxies and vpns and other various ways to still see the site. Also, it is difficult to block them. They will rename their sites and will use different domain name and again it will get unbanned.
Jio IPTV and FTTH is good and everyone will take it when it is available.
It will be hot cake :gift:.

Then what’s the motive behind the ban if people can still access these sites?
Waiting 4 Jio IPTV eagerly
