On top of that Amazon has limited number of paid subscribers. Out of which very few streams live sports. Comparing Prime with JioCinema is not fair.

Cut them some slack. JioCinema is not something that is use to getting such huge traffic. The worst thing they did was making it completely free to everyone. JioTV is also there. But they never suffered any big downtime. They could've easily make it accessible to Jio subscribers on JioCinema for free and rest of the subscribers should've been made to subscribe to Voot Select. Two separate platforms could've better handle the traffic better.

Well how could they not anticipated the expected server load during a fifa wc... They could referenced last 2 World cups... It's just poor strategy and management on their end... Totally ruined the opening day which no one will forget even tho they fix the issue today....

Sports streaming on Amazon prime is gorgeous . Streaming quality is good. Apart from this the UI is clean while Jio Cinema's structure including tabs, options etc looks old. Sometimes I felt it like streaming in a third party app.
Afterall Reliance bought a big event and they are responsible for cater it accordingly.

Yesterday jio cinema was not even asking users to login to watch the match. So even viewers from outside India who had Connected to any Indian server through VPN would have watched the match.

Making free without even requirement of signing up is not a good thing. Atleast make users sign-in using Indian phone numbers.
