Same way that coffee took performance of Pandya and KL Rahul to a new level

KL is always a good player, before the coffee as well. He scored 2 T20I hundreds and 5/6 consecutive 50+ test scores well before the show. Before and after WC team selection, there was hell lots of criticism on him (including biased favors by selectors/coach/captain). I always wondered how could he be excluded from the national team in all three formats for so long (also wanted Vijay to be selected in WC’15 squad after his superb test performance down under just before WC).
Players like KL, Virat, Rohit, Dhawan, Raina, Shreyas, Manish, DK has indifferent performance for national and respective franchises. But it’s agonising to see players like Pandya brothers, Sundar, Jadeja & Pant (white ball cricket), Rayudu, MSD* not performing even 25% for national team compared to their respective franchises.
*99% won’t agree, but that doesn’t change anything. Also, no discussion on this please!

Good to see the performances of youngsters Padikkal, Ruturaj, Varun. Hopefully they aren’t one season wonder and continues their success at national level if and when selected. Varun is already selected and I liked the indifferent gesture after his big scalp of MS yesterday. Hope he won’t let the short-term success go to his head.
On the other hand, I don’t think players like Rana, SKY will have any success for national team when and if selected.

As a neutral I am really rooting for KXIP to qualify is it will be a stunning transformation from the bottom of the points table straight into the playoffs. Also CSK will be able to leave the bottom of the table if RR loses.

To Qualify, need to win bothmatches + either (DC wins vs RCB) or (KXIP should not win both matches) or (MI wins vs DC)

To Qualify, need to win both matches+ SRH should not win both remaining matches + (CSK wins vs KXIP or better NRR over KXIP)
