Add to the fact that CSK are more Chepauk-reliant than any other team to their home ground. Most teams have adapted well to the UAE but not CSK. With top teams like MI/DC, the logic is buy once, play anywhere.

A legendary team like CSK, even despite a horrendous 2020, will (I hope) definitely learn from its mistakes in the next auction and spend effort grooming young talent that can play in any country.
