IPL 2020: Schedule to be Announced on Saturday After BCCI & ECB Resolve Issues

There has been a delay in the announcement of IPL 2020, due to a spike in Covid-19 cases in Abu Dhabi, which is one of the main venues of the tournament, apart from Sharjah and Dubai. But if reports are to be believed, the schedule for IPL will be announced by Saturday.

Members of the BCCI and Emirates Cricket Board chief Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak seemed to have resolved all the issues pertaining to IPL 2020 schedule, inter-city travel protocols. Eariler, reports had surfaced about Abu Dhabi's strict laws regarding the checking of anyone entering the emirate.

Three-time Indian Premier League champions Chennai Super Kings held a five-day training camp in Chennai earlier this month before the squad travelled to UAE for the upcoming season of the tournament. No other franchise held a camp like this, and in a recent interaction, CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan revealed how CSK captain MS Dhoni convinced him to go ahead with the camp.

According to this article only CSK held a camp in Chennai for some days before leaving for UAE. No other team did anything as such. What a brain-dead decision. Should have completed the mandatory quarantine phase and awaited for test results. According to the CEO it was Dhoni's idea.
The whole tournament is in jeopardy now.

Frankly i am just surprised players from no other teams have tested positive.
