A big discussion has been taking place at the IPL owners' meeting at the BCCI headquarters in Mumbai. Cricbuzz learns that main point of contention is whether to have a mega auction at all. Quite a few voices were against the mega auction, including Kolkata Knight Riders's Shah Rukh Khan.

At one stage, Shah Rukh was believed to be engaged in a heated argument with Ness Wadia, the co-owner of Punjab Kings. It is understood that Shah Rukh was in favour of retentions while Wadia is believed to be against too many retentions.

Punjab never builds a strong core, keeps changing most players every year.
Why should stable teams like KKR suffer because of poor management of KXIP !!!

Cheater franchise looking to cheat the rules and retain a retired player as an uncapped player.
Thank god all other franchises protested this...
How is this cheating when the rule already existed from 2008-2021?
They are just suggesting to bring it back

Nothing new but boring, Next year IPL 18 (2025) will not seen a major changes in players. In most of teams will come with retain players has to seen in the next year schedules.
