Forget Jadeja and Russell going out of their respective franchises.
I may have to tread back on this statement for one of the players 🙃
It's Russell guys...
Its not due to any disagreement or something, but KKR are looking to retain Ramandeep who they view as Russell successor. They are also looking to retain Rana but both have asked for a significantly higher amount than the 4cr prescribed by BCCI.

If they do end up giving 8cr to each of them, they cannot afford another 18cr hit on Russell... (Also partly why RCB is not retaining Green)

I would definitely hope this is not true, because KKR will be dumb to do this. One thing that does give me hope is that their CEO had done a tweet 3-4 years back saying he will retire with KKR, but idk times change, circumstances change...

Also hearing from KKR that CV Varun wants a higher price than 11cr 🥶. He may end up in auction too, but KKR is trying to convince him rn...

There are going to be 4 T20I series in November before IPL auction - SA vs IND, AUS vs PAK, WI vs ENG & SL vs NZ. Blockbuster auditions for the players to increase their value.

First conversation between Iyer & KKR regarding retention took place on Sunday (27th October)

If Iyer goes into the auction, atleast 3 franchises will try to get him as a captain

Russell, Narine, Harshit, Rinku will be retained If things don't go well with Iyer, Varun Chakravarthy and Venkatesh Iyer/Nitish Rana will be retained through RTM, there is considerable interest in Mitchell Starc also

Gill, Rashid, Sudharsan set to be retained by GT

Shahrukh Khan & Rahul Tewatia are also expected to be retained
