Looks like there's a new rule coming for injury replacements.
Previously teams were allowed to add injury replacements till their 7th league game.
Now this window seems to be restricted to the overall league's 12th game..

Bad move IMO...

There is a potential loophole with Retention Rule No. Thala:

"A capped Indian player will become uncapped, if the player has in the last five calendar years preceding the year in which the relevant Season is held, not played in the starting XI in International Cricket (Test match, ODI, Twenty20 International) or does not have a Central Contract with BCCI. This will be applicable for Indian Players only."

Because of the "or", many players may fall under this rule => Deepak Hooda, Ishan Kishan, Bhuvi, T Natarajan etc...
If it would've been "and", many franchises would not be able to exploit this loophole...

Point 5 is so vague and needs so much explanation.
What about new players do they become ineligible to enter mini auction because they didn't register for mega auction?
Agree...
This is not a good rule. Even if foreign players participate in the mini auction, they are not forcing anyone to buy. It's on teams to buy them or not.

It was just worded poorly. What they meant probably was did not have a central contract in last 5 years. If this is the case then even Shreyas Iyer becomes an uncapped player🤣🤣
I don't understand why that or part was added it's completely irrelevant. Even if it was "and" instead of or it should wouldn't have made any sense.
