I hope they don't rush him not fully fit because we need him fully fit for next year BGT

We need him for next South Africa and England tour as well. But, He won't be same player as he was before injury. He worked on his fitness between 2017 end to 2020. That was his purple patch. That won't come back no matter how hard he tries. I wish we keep playing him only test format. We don't need him for white ball format as Ishan/Jitesh Sharma is best option for T20i no matter what Pant do for DC. Samson/Rahul for ODI. I wish Rohit retires and Iyer/Rahul gets test captaincy for ODI/Tests. This combination will go for next four years. Till then someone new will come for sure.

After five years, we can. In these five years, we should be able to bring best out of him. But for that, we need someone like Kirsten or Ravi Shastri. I don't see anyone else right now like them. For bowling, Nehra, Shami can be good coaches in future. But again Nehra denied and I don't know when Shami will retire. He has Max two years. I am still surprised how he played post 2015, knee injury.
