So Confirmed All of Sam Curran, Ben Stokes and Cameron Green have registered thier names in ipl auction at base price 2 Cr. Mayank Agarwal kept his base price 1 cr. Kane Williamson base price of 2 Cr is bit high could have kept it like Joe Root who has kept 1 cr.
Kyle Jameison, Jhye Richardson is back at auction too :wink2::lol:

Jameison recovered from injury? Richardson fit and playing any competitive game? Last time I saw him in last year's ashes.
There should be buyers from Indian domestic circuit as well.
Ibrahim Zadran should get look into.

Dwayne Bravo looks to have said goodbye to the IPL. Having been released by the Super Kings ahead of the auction, his name was not among the 991 put forward in the long list.

Steve Smith and Marnus Labuschagne are not part of the 991 names that have come forward. Although given how neither of them had any takers last year, and are likely to be heavily involved in Ashes preparation with the series starting June 16, it may not be too much of a surprise that they've chosen to skip the IPL. Australia's Test and ODI captain Pat Cummins has pulled out as well citing workload issues.

Somebody will buy Joe Root for sure.
If the buyer happens to be RCB, they would have already won hearts and lungs for the upcoming season...

Impact Players in IPL

Meanwhile, the BCCI is contemplating extending the Impact Player experiment to the IPL. It was first introduced in this year's Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy competition and the feedback apparently was very good. At a meeting of the IPL Governing Council, held virtually on Thursday night, the BCCI decided to introduce the Impact Player rule in the IPL as well.

The BCCI said in its note to the franchises, "Note that from IPL 2023 Season a tactical/strategic concept will be introduced to add a new dimension to IPL, wherein one substitute player per team will be able to take a more active part in an IPL match. The regulations pertaining to the same will be issued shortly."
