KKR have signed England’s Jason Roy for 2.8 crore for IPL 2023 from his base price of 1.5 crore.

Shreyas Iyer has been ruled out of the tournament owing to a lower back injury while Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has confirmed his unavailability for the season.

That's shocking. He's been signed for more than his base price that too coming as a replacement. I have never seen this. Has this happened before as generally all replacements are signed at base price only?

Forget Money, Hope Roy delivers and give good start for KKR as Right Handed Overseas Opener was required.
Roy is good option but he is never consistent.
