They want Opener who play short pitch stuff well & can give explosive start only 2-3 players i feel KKR should target

Travis Head / Tom Kohler Cadmore / Ben Mcdermot or Jason Roy

Any 1 among these

They already have in the form of Litton Das. But I agree, Tom Kolher Cadmore or Ben Duckett or Ben Macdermott will have been great option.

Why not Rahane?

He is replacement of Robbie who retired after last IPL
He's just a backup for Ruturaj/Rayudu like how Robbie played in last 2-3 matches in 2021 when Raina was injured

It is understood that on both occasions he experienced swelling in his lower back, due to issues stemming from a bulge in one of the discs in his spine which has resulted in an impinged nerve. The nerve runs along the right leg and has caused shooting pain in Iyer's calf, which has compounded his mobility issues. It is also understood that he had been given injections to help numb the pain in his back.
