This is really going to mess with RCB. The management might either give 1 point to both the teams (which is not fair because it’s because of the mere lack of responsibility by the KKR management) else reschedule it sometime in the afternoon.

But this has to wait till all their players have been tested negative because many of the players have come with their families. We might lose out on the 1st or 2nd spot just because of this mismanagement by KKR. They deserve a punishment, hefty fine, cutting down their points.

When the tournament is likely to come under scanner you are worried about 1st or 2nd position for RCB, not good bro.

Don't just blame KKR management. The virus can enter anywhere, anytime and also it won't be through the expected route as well.

And regarding punishment, Is it that KKR deliberately breached the bio bubble?

I think few points are very important to understand:
1) No player/Coaching Staff/Broadcaster is forced to stay and play. All have been explained about what's situation around and they are working/playing with consent.
2) Most of the countries have closed there borders for inbound traveller's from India, so any foreign player needs to leave have to be managed as group in chartered flights.
3) Despite life threatening surrounding BCCI is managing the Bio secure bubble to conduct the event, at much higher cost.
4) Conducting the event helps not only BCCI and players, but Govt. With tax revenue, Hotels who are struggling for over year to generate income for there sustenance and employees, and other groups associated in transportation, logistics of the event.
5) For example think about those bank employees/ security personal for a profession who still have to regularly attend offices/ customers without such facility of Bio Secure bubble.
6) BCCI and franchisee are testing every alternate day to ensure players safety. At first reported instance the match was immediately Suspended.

So let's Wish the speedy recovery of infected persons. If BCCI feels there is any major risk in running the tournament then they will cancel on the same day....

Who knows what the player might have done at the hospital? Even might have come in contact with someone unknowingly..

If it was last year's IPL, all this would have been tracked. That was there in last year's SOP. Not this year.. hence the covid cases...

you are blamming players unneccesarily.

They become the virus carriers, and they might end up infecting the team, hence increasing the covid cases within the team, and hence (mostly) cancelling/postponing the IPL.

There are heavy losses that will be incurred by the BCCI if this happens, and that would affect the stability of cricket in India..

KKR have put all the players and staff in Hard quarantine till 6th May. Everyone will be tested daily. If everyone tests negative for COVID-19 then the game vs RCB can be rescheduled on 7th May...

And the BCCI should be commended for that TBH. The bio bubbles shouldn't have been relaxed, that is what I'm saying. Otherwise last year you see, not even a single case after the tournament began. That was all thanks to the strict SOP for last year. This year they relaxed many clauses, hence you see such reports

BCCI needs to investigate the same... If I can recall correctly, Natrajan was ruled out of the tournament since he was required to go out of Bio Secure bubble for scans (later surgery was done).... For the same if Varun went for Scan outside then he shouldn't have been integrated with other team members without completing the Quarantine.... But let's wait for 2-3 days for BCCI to share the details and hope not more then 2 players are infected due to this lapse....

And after the scan he got ruled out. I'm not sure how the logistics work, but most probably he wouldn't have come in contact with team members - until him getting ruled out announcement - after going back to hotel, because I didn't see him on ground ever since he was left out or in SRH social channels along with other members..

But let's wait for 2-3 days for BCCI to share the details and hope not more then 2 players are infected due to this lapse

They won't share. They are scheduled to host a T20 WC. Anything that shows the BCCI in a negative light, they won't put it out. They can put all the blame on the player and KKR management ofc

From today bcci may announce All teams should wear PPE kits and play in upcoming matches
