As per ur above post this tweet of Cricbuzz suggests that Sunrisers Hyderabad has taken a prominent English Batsman who did well from recently Concluded India England T20I series series, As Mitchell Marsh's replacment

And most likley this 'Prominent batsman' is Jason Roy

Jason Holder will definitely play ahead of Bairstow & Kane Williamson given his all-rounder abilities.

Isn't replacement rules in IPL are all messed-up? Jason Holder was the replacement of Marsh last year. But this year, initially they both are in SRH squad, till Marsh again replaced by another Jason. How these can be called as replacements?!
I know, there were many such instances in past.

Well in that case, for RCB:
In 2011, Gayle came as replacement for Dirk Nannes. Both were retained for 2012
In 2020, Zampa came as replacement for Richardson. Both were retained for 2021 again..
