Totally wrong!
He has the best qualities taken from two of the great Indian captains.
Aggression (which is arrogance to you) from Ganguly, tactics from MS. Added to those are his killing instincts (go for a win, whatever the situation may be) makes him the most successful test captain of India and 3rd in test history (win% after at least 35 matches). Also his win-loss ratio is only behind Steve Waugh.

If I remember correctly, all English (England) commentators including Hussain were still criticizing Virat (when he was on rampage in every series) saying he was a failure in English condition and can never succeed there.
Now all of England know, what's in store for them in the next 4 matches. So they'll try everything to demoralize best batsman. But what they don't know is, more they try cheap, will get more performance in return. Hussain got that from his opposite number while captaining, now Joe Root will pay the price for 'Mic drop'.

Stop bashing K L! It's not IPL performance that earned him a place in test team.
It's his earlier test and practice match (against Essex where he scored maximum runs for the team) performance that counted. Don't forget he is in the elite club of most successive 50's in test cricket (less than a year ago). No other Indian batsman in the list.

Next match we need a new team.karun nair rishabh pant and shartul tahur all should get a chance in player 11.we need to inject new blood into this team. We need a win in next test

I wonder how long this pandya will play in test matches.he is not taking wickets not batting also.we need kuldeep yadav instead of pandya.dinesh karthick should be replaced by pant and rahul should be replaced by pujara. Karun nair should get a opening slot with dawan.no use of keeping old team and singing same losing song.batting a collective failure in this team except kohli.

There can be several reasons for loss. England also can say "If Virat wasn't dropped in the first innings, it would have been a huge win for us". I think both the teams have done several mistakes and didn't play to their potential. England did a wee bit better and ended up on the winning side that too with very less margin. Nevertheless, it's a great start to the much anticipated series and I hope it continues this way, though I would like to see India on the winning side at least once!!
