I think we can't, Rayudu's place was always fragile in the team, two bad games and he's out!! That's how it had been with most of the No 4 batsman Team India tried in the past 1 year. And as you said, Kedar is prone to injuries, especially hamstring is notorious and it can come back anytime, so he is vulnerable. And as you said Jadeja seems to have lost his steam after making a brilliant come back, but the value he brings to the team with his fielding is unquestionable, he is just BRILLIANT in the field! I don't care if he doesn't bat well, as long as he can bowl economically and save 10-15 runs for the team and gets a run out or two. Today's team was very good sans Shankar. I can't understand why Shankar is playing ahead of Krunal, enlighten me please. And if Hardik is coming back, there is no way Shankar can make it to the final XI.

Based on the condition he's picked bro, instead of Hardik. Already 3 Spinners available so no 4th spinner required. If at all krunal comes in the 15 it shud be in place of jadeja.

Am sure selectors will be keen to try 3rd spinner for the world cup, with jadeja s place not sealed krunal will be a serious contender for 3rd spinner slot & will come as a straight competetor for jadeja.

Feel krunal may be tried @some point in odis in the place of jadeja. Also there's a chance Jadeja may get a nod & Krunal maybe tried after the world cup. Things seems very tight at the moment.

Kohli sways in favour of Adelaide ODI combination
I'm not sure about that! For me, Adelaide line-up is not at all a good one, forget best. Virat is stressing on batting positions & line-up only. He might be forgotten that in that XI, there's no 6th bowling options.

Yep,i still can't figure out why Kedar sat out for the 1st 2 matches, considering his 5th bowling option. In my opinion Kedar & Rayudu will walk into the team straight away.

My guess is team Mgmt wants to test Karthik in the middle order so Kedar may be rested. Considering the Karthik s knock in the 2nd odi & Rayudu s rusty inings, Kedar replaces Rayudu.

In my opinion team mgmt is testing Karthik this series. This may continue next series also.

Rayudu just struggling this series. One series does not make him a bad player, He s a must in the middle order for india in the world cup. It s going to be a toss up between Rayudu/Karthik for the middle order slot as of now. Maybe we may try some other player in the remaining odis before World cup.

Karthik is good in T20s & to some extend finishing games in Odi's. I don't know how good he s in building & rebuilding an inngs in tough situations or coming in @ before 25-30th over. Believe Rayudu is a far better player considering his odi average also which is 49 compared to karthik s average of 30.

Remaining 20 odd odis will give us a clear picture.

Haha what a joke . Obviously one series doesnt decide good or bad player but he is "33" years old not some newcomer like Vijay shankar or khaleel . The way he played 2nd odi clearly showed his impatience . Today not even newcomers play shots like that . And india dont have time for experiment before WC .i am pretty sure he will be warming up on bench in NZ series also.

Do you think rayadu will get chance over Karthik ?? Doest matter if karthik score 10 / 20 runs in next 10 matches before WC , he still be part of the WC team .

Dhoni said after winning 3ed ODI that is is ready to play on any number position. I guess selectors will settle him on 4th position
Beside that we can get 6th bowling option like kedar jadhav , so door for rayadu is pretty much closed.

Guys, I don't know why people are so harsh on Vijay Shankar. He is given a chance coz we don't have too many fast or medium pace bowling all-rounders. When Hardik comes back he is always our first choice. Vijay Shankar need to improve his pace else he cannot survive. Also I could see members writing just because of quota he got into the team. It is not the case. He has scored heavily in New Zealand and won matches for Ind 'A' and also in good form in Ranji matches. So it is due for him and he got a chance. Nidhahas trophy was his 1st series. There must be some nervousness and he wouldn't have faced a similar kind of bowler like Mustafizur before. We need to give him some space and have to groom him. There is no like for like replacement available for Hardik. Imagine if Hardik is out of form. Even Ganguly in his first match vs West Indies was all at see. He was dropped. I felt he would never come back but we've witnessed what has happened with his presence. So Vijay Shankar need to be groomed.
