It's true he can now bat thanks to IPL but as boundaries are small in NZ so he will go for a ride for sure with his petty bowling with no pace.

That's why I m saying if he performs well in next series go with him he along with jhadhav can be our fifth bowling option if hardik remain unavailable due to reason known to everyone

You can't judge any player with just 36 BALLS bowled in 18 matches. Check his 50 over bowling stats (list A). Economy rate of less than 5, 43 wickets in 50 innings isn't that bad for a non-regular pacer.

I don't understand you why are you supporting a guy who has only 1 wicket in 3 year IPL carrier in 18 matches with economy of 13 runs per over and bowling average of 77.

If he get national team cap with just 1 wicket in 3 years and that too at 13 runs per over is the real talent and not by quota then end of discussion.

Untill unless it's proved he came with quota then it's just to insult a player .. I don't know what quota he applies ??

Thing i liked most is Despite pressure , Dhoni - kedar were calmly built partnership unlike kohli - dhoni where 2 runouts and catches were dropped.

After Kohli's wicket if one more wicket had fallen , Australia could have completely taken over match

Rayadu can learn from kedar who in Asia cup against Bangladesh also did same batting with tailenders and made india victorious on last ball

Rayudu just struggling this series. One series does not make him a bad player, He s a must in the middle order for india in the world cup. It s going to be a toss up between Rayudu/Karthik for the middle order slot as of now. Maybe we may try some other player in the remaining odis before World cup.

Karthik is good in T20s & to some extend finishing games in Odi's. I don't know how good he s in building & rebuilding an inngs in tough situations or coming in @ before 25-30th over. Believe Rayudu is a far better player considering his odi average also which is 49 compared to karthik s average of 30.

Remaining 20 odd odis will give us a clear picture.

Excellent bowling by shankar ? He is bowling at 120 kmph . A Good batsman will hit 6 sixes on his bowl easily. Waste bowler

That's bit harsh bro, he really bowled well today especially his 1st 4 overs wicket-wicket. Bowling @ 120kmph doesn't mean he ll hammered for 6 sixes. It's the control line & length, variation, bowling under pressure that matters. He may learn few things & be a better bowler.

McGrath bowls in 130s but he s so effective. Iam not comparing McGrath with him just saying speed doesn't matter.

Maybe he may join the list of Robin singh, Sourav Ganguly in batting all rounders.
