Tagline of this tournament was It takes one day and all it took was one day for India to end their dream campaign. No excuses we had the best team possible and best prepration coming into the wc. We just lost to a better team with elite champion mentality. It was fun couple of months watching the WC with you guys.

Cricket matters a lot to billions in India .Criticizing fans for leaving the match early or panning the team after defeat has to be seen in the context of their emotional connect to the team.I remember crying more than Vinod Kambli when the match between India and Sri Lanka was abandoned in 96.This team did well and though it faltered at the final step ,it is difficult to find too many negatives with the team.I hope the next generation shows its capability to take the mantle from Kohli and Rohit in coming years.
