So the so the point is that you got to play brave on a big day. It doesn't matter whether you have most runs or wickets in the tournament. The only thing that matters is to play for the team and win the tournament for them. Travis head , Pat Cummins, Starc all of the missed IPL to practice for the Ashes and the world cup coming up. That's how you prepare for big tournaments and so they were the deserving team today. India played beautifully in the tournament but they couldn't handle the pressure when it matter the most and so did they lost . That dew was to come and that was a known fact . All that Australian needed was Rohit Sharma's wicket to stumble India to below 350 because if he didn't threw that wicket and played till the 20th over , India would've crossed 350 and Australia even after dew would have been in a difficult position to chase it .
Another factor was not including Ashwin even after knowing that he has a big psychological advantage. His presence itself creates a havoc in the Aussies dressing room . And sometimes CHASING is not a bad option even in a final . Sky was always going to be useless on a sluggish wicket.
Now comes the third part , India should have use the fresh wicket on both finals and semi finals. They is no way you use a used wicket in any final . I don't remember any host nation to do such a thing.
It's history now and we can't change it . Better we swallow it . Also the 4 people who predicted Australia winning, congratulations to them and to team Australia
this crowd. That silence is embarrassment. Let Kolkata, Mumbai or even our Guwahati have final matches. It's our team. No matter how they play. You are angry. We are too. But have some respect. It's sports. There are wins and losses. Medal ceremony felt like walk of shame because of you.
