NEW DELHI: Mobile phone maker iBall has introduced an enhanced version of Aasaan feature phone, called Aasaan2.
iBall Aasaan is a special phone for senior citizens which was specifically prepared to meet their needs of big keypads, enhanced audio, bigger fonts on screen, enhanced audio levels and SOS function for help in case of emergencies.
The enhanced device carries many new features, added after taking feedback from the present users.
The new features include digital camera, music play back and flash card support up to 8GB. Keeping functionality as the key focus for senior people, a noteworthy feature of the device is its 'SOS function', positioned at the back of the phone, which can be used, to automatically connect with an emergency phone number. Within 7 seconds of pressing the 'SOS button', the handset emanates loud sound/siren that lets people in vicinity know that something is wrong. It also sends out 'SOS Text' messages pre -formulated to 5 numbers, sequentially calling them till a number is answered.
A Special addition to Aasaan2 is its Dual SIM supporting device and the dual language feature that supports both Hindi and English enhancing the user preference. The product has specific buttons for wire-free FM, LED torch and Phone lock for extreme ease of user for the seniors. It also has the talking keypad to let the user hear what is being typed.
