Since yesterday morning, my laptop is showing white screen when I press power button, but it's not turning on.

Does your laptop has a separate graphics hardware?

When booting the system up, press and hold F11 key for 10-15 and check if a recovery/reset menu appears.
If it appears, you can reset your laptop and the issue should get resolved .
If it doesn't, it does mean the display panel needs service

It wasn’t booting at all.
Pressing the power button only returns with white screen.
Took a risk to remove the battery and again place it, now it’s started normally.
