Any soup. Knoor one's are the best. Drink warm water. Also use those lozens like Strepsils, Vicks etc. It will give some short term relief.

Real relief will come from cough syrups. For me Cetzine Syrup works overnight. Don't drink cold water at any cost. I shower every night before sleeping even on winters. So I go through this every other night.
