I am neither against fire crackers just saying also wb is diverse place we celebrate every festival too much don't worry after diwali wc , chat puja , jagadhatri puja / like durga puja bursting crackers will not stop
No govt sleeping
In wb not a single warning
Even if people suffer from cough people blame weather change instead of polution
I think old busses are main culprit govt needs to introduce new bus asap to reduce polution.
I am just against biased behaviour of news agency as they lebeled delhi polution high but not utter single word for kolkata

I think old busses are main culprit govt needs to introduce new bus asap to reduce polution.

Actually in every developing city the main culprit is public transport. Govt is doing nothing, even in Jaipur number of buses are reduced, remaining are pollution factory. Fare of these buses are sky high like one would opt for bike ride instead of wasting money and time on these buses. These are few points govt need to work.

• Reduce fare
• Give equal discount to students, old-age, women
• No free ticket to women
• Introduce pass system, yes many has but not everyone.
• Add more buses on busy route specially if its rush hour, run two buses on same route simultaneously.
• Shift to electrical or less polluting option.
• Provide separate coridor for these buses.
• Make one-way road if road is overcrowded.
• Buses should stop on bus stop not in middle of route.
• Rikshawala should present at bus stop so, if someone has to travel bit far Rikshawala can help.
