The Competition Commission of India, or CCI, tweeted it fined Google for "abusing dominant position in multiple markets in the Android mobile device ecosystem"

 
Google was fined ₹ 936.44 crore on Tuesday by the Commission of India (CCI) for the second time in less than a week, taking the total penalty to ₹ 2,274 core, for misusing its dominant position about Play Store policy and ordered the tech giant to stop engaging in unfair commercial practises.

 
Google is planning a legal challenge to block a ruling by India's antitrust watchdog to change its approach to its Android operating system, concerned that it will restrict how it promotes the platform, sources with direct knowledge of the situation told Reuters.

 
Google is reportedly working on a strategy that will likely challenge the Competition Commission of India’s (CCI) orders that fined the tech giant for abusing its dominance over its Android operating system and the Play Store.
