Hobart Hurricanes rope in Gary Kirsten as head coach

Gary Kirsten has inked a two-year deal with Hobart Hurricanes as the head coach, the club confirmed on Monday (April 3). The former South Africa opener and India coach will take over from Damien Wright, who was sacked after Hurricanes finished seventh in the last edition with just three wins.

Shahid Afridi joins Karachi Kings

Shahid Afridi has joined Karachi Kings as "president", according to the franchise. He is likely to feature for the team as a player, too, in the third edition of Pakistan Super League in 2018, though this is yet to be confirmed; the PSL's trading window ahead of the next edition is yet to open. Last month Afridi had announced on Twitter that he had left Peshawar Zalmi after two years with the franchise.

Protesting Bangladesh bowler concedes 92 runs in four balls!

A Bangladesh club cricketer peppered the field with no balls and wides to concede 92 runs in four legal deliveries in an extraordinary protest against poor umpiring in the Dhaka Second Division Cricket League, local media reported on Wednesday.

Lalmatia Club's Sujon Mahmud bowled 15 no balls to go with 13 wides that also raced to the boundary in his side's match against Axiom Cricketers.His four legal deliveries went for 12 runs as Axiom won by 10 wickets.

Australia planning for first Bangladesh tour in more than a decade

Australia`s cricket side is expected to tour Bangladesh later this year for their first Test matches there in more than a decade, an official said Tuesday.

The world`s number-two side is expected to play two Tests against the cricket minnows in August and September in Dhaka, Bangladesh Cricket Board chief executive officer Nizamuddin Chowdhury said. "We are now working on the schedule and other details with CA (Cricket Australia)," he said.

BCB bans Tasnim Hasan, Sujon Mahmud for 10 years

The BCB has punished two clubs and its players, captains and managers, and umpires, for "tarnishing the image of Bangladesh cricket" in their role in two controversial lower-tier league matches held last month. The board had formed a special committee to look into a Dhaka Second Division League match during which a bowler, Sujon Mahmud, had conceded 92 runs off four balls while playing for Lalmatia Club against Axiom Cricketers.

IPL 2017: Virat Kohli Has Done Next To Nothing, Says Ricky Ponting
Former Australian captain Ricky Ponting, in his assessment of RCB's performance said Kohli had done next to nothing during the tournament.
Punter also highlighted the absence of KL Rahul as one of the key reasons behind RCB's display.
"KL Rahul is a massive loss for them," Ponting told cricket.com.au. "He had a terrific back-end to last season. He did some amazing things last year so him not being at the top has been a big loss.
"Their big name players just aren't standing up like they did last year," Ponting said.
"They got on an amazing roll at the back end of last year's tournament when Kohli was playing out of his skin, de Villiers was playing well, Gayle was chipping in and Watson was doing a good job with bat and ball.
"But so far Kohli has done next to nothing, there's been flashes in the pan from Gayle and AB de Villiers, but the consistency just hasn't been there.
In nine outings, Kohli managed to score 250 runs at an average of 27.77. The 28-year-old registered 3 fifties, with a best of 64.
RCB are currently at the bottom of the table with 5 points from 13 matches. They play their last match on May 14 against Delhi Daredevils.

He was supposed well , we know Kohli was played one of the unbelievable tournament & scored 900+ in the season.

But support always making powerful & it did by KLR at last year.
