In what seems like a new upadate to Facebook, a dialer button has been spotted on the social media giant's Android app.
The feature appears to have mistakenly popped live on the app with a FB-Only tag before its launch and showed a dialer icon, named Phone. However, tapping it to install leads to a 'no page found' error, possibly due to its premature showing up on the app, while the original release is yet to be announced.
A report on the Android Police noting the element said that the Phone button seems like a replacement for a dialer and will block calls from commonly blocked numbers and show you detailed information about incoming calls.
There is also a possibility that Facebook could give an option to anonymise your incoming call data for marketing and research purpose.
This comes soon after WhatsApp started rolling out its own in-app dialling feature that lets users make a voice call to their messenger contacts.
