I think broadcast on TV will continue since India or Indians is not fully affordable for digital streaming. If FB gets money from selling TV rights to others then dilution of viewers doesn't matters.TV can reach some people where digital can't and viceversa
SPN won't buy from Facebook, since it didn't from La Liga itself citing high price, Sublicense would cost even more

Confirmed from Sony sources, Serie A and FA Cup and English FA matches like FA Community Shield will be shown by them. La Liga will be shown by Facebook, no clarity on whether it will also be shown on any TV channel or not.

Yet no clarity on who will show Ligue 1, Uefa Champions League, Europa League, Nations League etc.

but according to spn twitter , they keep saying " Hi All Football leagues broadcasted for 2017-18 season, the rights are up for renewal for 2018/19 season. "

latest update from SPN
SPN is not giving up on football rights :tup:
yeah come on SPN :p:p

That’s a general reply from their twitter admin.

They sent a similar tweet for CPL also, the rights of which belong to Star Sports for this year.

By the way, I got confirmation by email from Ligue 1 that Indian broadcasters are reluctant to take rights of it for this season. So although they are trying to do a deal, the opening weekend action will be missed most likely.
