In a fatal turn of events involving an electric bike and a family of four,a battery of the bike exploded when its was kept for charging in the bedroom.

The incident took place in Vijaywada city of Andhra Pradesh just a few days after an incident of involving another ev fire took place in neighbouring state of Telangana in which an 80 year old man had died.

E-bike catches fire in Tamil Nadu's Hosur; 29-year-old escapes unhurt

EV share of users started increasing exponentially last year during lockdown in Bangalore among food delivery agents when continuously petrol prices were rising , they started using electric bike yulu type rental e-bikes for delivery as it was having less expenses compared to fuel cost which they would have spent weekly.
