Electric Vehicle are a lot quieter than normal vehicles, this could be dangerous as they cannot be noticed easily. That's why European Union has made a law which will be in force from Monday.
From now on all new models of 4 wheel Electric Vehicles will have a device called Acoustic Vehicle Alert System (Avas). This device will generate Normal Vehicle's Engine Noise when car travels below the speed of 19 Km/hr. If needed Driver can deactivate this device.
