But Sony LIV offers good shows unlike Hotstar Specials

Most of the Sony Liv originals and direct premiere movies are of top quality. Sony should be appreciated for content selection. But the quantity is less. One can finish popular contents in Sony Liv within a month. Both Webseries production and new movie releases per month is limited. When it comes to a single language, the waiting for new movies extends. Movie library in all languages is poor. There is nothing to spend time with Sony Liv between new content releases. Sports/WWE/SET show followers can manage somewhat but for others it stay as the most rarely opened app in the device. They should consider of improving the content library through syndication deals. They itself has big International TV & Movie houses as half brothers but not interested in making use of it.
As Disney & WB who initially worked to integrate own contents to own streaming services now rethinking of restarting third party deals. So Sony Liv has less chances to introduce Sony Pictures movies & other assets.
When it comes to Hotstar. They are increasing the number of originals but not thinking of the quality. All their originals stands mediocre or below avg, while most major otts in India able to stream atleast one masterpiece item. They should really think of it. Even their recent content exits downgraded the platform they can still with stand with existing library through proper proportioning of quantity and quality. They should focus on the quality of originals. Disney+ Marvel - Disney series also in the path depreciation. So it made low impact on Hotstar than forecast.
Any way now they accelerated movie releases per month par with Prime. Has some good ongoing webseries. Had a huge library of Disney - Fox houses which are worth of watching free time as well as rewatching. Movies stands good numbers in Indian languages. FX Hulu ABC shows can manage english webseries section and compensate absence of HBO to an extent.

No chance. Both WB & Disney is thinking of licencing own contents to others. So taking third party deals drawn out from their agenda. The cost cutting measures of Disney concreted it. If Disney+ able to deliver some popular contents instead of making medicore stuffs to push their woke agendas/ transforming dark characters to childish etc it could be a stronghold for Hotstar in English section.

It will be on Hotstar probably in June (also Avatar 2 which is on rent now). Releasing strategy is back to how it was before Covid. First on rent, then after a few weeks exclusive on rent, it will be out for subscribers of Disney's streaming services.
