Thats clearly a fake video bro! That guy is really clever but have missed some small details to make it look authentic. Most of the Fox Titles they shown with dates are with HBO Max for a couple of years. So thats a give away.

The Disney Plus streaming service will launch in Singapore in an exclusive arrangement with local cable provider StarHub.

The Feb. 23, 2021 launch, previously teased by Disney management in December, will come some eight months after rival providers StarHub and SingTel ended their carriage deal for Disney’s linear channels package in the city-state.

I hope @JollyLNB bro take note of it. Both Hotstar and Disney+ are available now via StarHub.

this dependency on a carrier or service provider is not good for app ecosystem

They can sign up individually as well it seems. Its just an distribution arrangement to quickly reach maximum people. Apart from India, almost everywhere Disney+ has had some sort arrangements with various kinds of partners from Telecoms to Streaming Services to Card providers and Cable and Broadband providers (Even Stores in Indonesia, where they can pay for Subscription).

They are same as the Jio or Airtel partnerships with Hotstar in India. Nowhere its going to impact app ecosystem.

Ps. Only in Japan, Disney+ is operating exclusively for NT Docomo subscribers, full launch is scheduled for later this year.
