Walt Disney is likely to price the Disney+ video streaming service at Rs 590 per month or Rs 5,900 per year.
No one is going to buy if it is this high.
It will surely not be this high.
No is going to pay ₹590/month to watch Cartoons & Highschool students singing & dancing.
They could add Disney+ as an Add On.
Like,
Hotstar VIP = ₹365
Hotstar Premium = ₹999
Hotstar Premium + Disney Plus = ₹1499

This seems fair

Disney+ India Prices Spotted

As noted previously, the streaming service has not launched in India. Walt Disney has not shared any details about launching the service in the market at the time of writing. In fact, past reports have speculated that the company may bring all Disney+ content to Hotstar. It is likely to be limited to the Premium segment.

Amidst the lack of clarity, BGR India has likely discovered the potential price of Disney+ in India. We stumbled on the pricing for the service while trying to access it in India. So, Walt Disney is likely to price the Disney+ video streaming service at Rs 590 per month or Rs 5,900 per year. The yearly subscription will allow users to save 17 percent on the monthly subscription. In addition, the company is also likely to offer a free 7-day trial to users at launch. All this information likely means Dinsey+ may actually launch as a separate service in the coming months.

Disney+ video streaming service pricing in India spotted; features, details

590rs per month is not bad if we consider that they allow 7 user profiles per account with the ability to stream on four devices at the same time. Compared to Netflix's 800rs per month with 4 user profiles. But they should provide the BEST HQ and PQ for that price. There are many marvels, star wars fans in India so people might be interested in it if they can find others who are interested in sharing account.

Hotstar Premium + Disney Plus will be a nice move if they do it. If we people consider sharing option it won't be a burden even if it's 590/month. It will be just 85.rs per month if there is a group of 7 people (Only 4 devices will be able to stream simultaneously).

Yes, it makes sense if shared. And thats good if the content is 4K HDR

Content also matters bro... Netflix has a Huge catalogue of content for each and every Group & Age of people. While Disney Plus is strictly PG-13. How many good stories are they gonna able to make keeping that PG-13 rating in mind. Have you watched Deadpool's PG-13 version?
Even if they are able to make some good stories, those are gonna attract only few sets of people.. mainly Kids & Pre-Teen (not including the Marvel Series).
Pricing should be set according to the Content available.

DC and Marvel normally targets larger audiences including kids and teens for their contents. They may continue with such or join the band with others in coming days, only time would say.

₹5900/year is a fair price to ask for Disney + Marvel + Fox + HBO + Star Sports + Star India + National Geographic International.

Do understand that hotstar optimizes a lot on the technology which streams the videos. That means the ability to stream a higher quality video at a lower data. Read their tech Blog for a better understanding.

Hotstar is developed for a country that needs as much content possible in as little data. It's optimizations work that way. If you want utmost high AQ, hotstar is not for you..
If They Want To Really Optimize, They Should Have Two Versions Of Hotstar. Optimised Version Called Hotstar Lite And Then Normal Version Of Hotstar.

From The User's Point Of View, I Pay The Same 999rs To Amazon Prime And Get The Best Quality. But In Hotstar, I Don't Get The Best.

That will unfortunately increase the cost exponentially for a startup..
