Facts died in this thread. It's all about political here. Check here. Make shift quarantine centre made to cater lakhs of COVID patients. This is only in my state Assam. There are several others across India. You give government credit for unnecessary topics. Not the things they are actually doing.

Some trains have been cancelled from 25-Dec to 02-Jan-21, namely Konark Express, Tata to Yaswanthapur and Vizag to Tirupati trains.

What are you talking about? There were makeshift quarantine centres with lakhs of people across country.

Sir,majority of the quarantine centres have been closed now,i am speaking on authority atleast from what i have seen in Bihar and Karnataka.And why do you think Government started home quarantine when it had such a huge infrastructure in place. Bottomline is in india with a population of over 100crores,it is not at all possible.

1. Temporary quarantine centres can be built easily in 7 days. We have the man power and experience by now.

2. These international travellers coming by planes can be easily tested and traced. If found positive can be kept at hotels at their own expense.

3. They can even stay quarantine themselves at homes if they want.

You are asking a lot of self discipline from a population which isn't used too of doing so.I had seen in month of April-May international travellers coming back to Bangalore whose hands were stamped Home quarantine and yet they were freely roaming around even though being in Home quarantine period.

You are asking a lot of self discipline from a population which isn't used too of doing so.I had seen in month of April-May international travellers coming back to Bangalore whose hands were stamped Home quarantine and yet they were freely roaming around even though being in Home quarantine period.

Those coming through Vande Bharat had to go to quarantine centres. They weren't allowed to be home quarantined. Only domestic traveller were allowed to be home quarantined.

That was only doing first few weeks.Once the passenger volume increased,people were asked to home quarantine

Two people have tested positive for Covid-19 in Kolkata after returning from the United Kingdom, a top health official said.
