The speed you get on each BSNL frequency band depends on bandwidth, network technology (4G/5G), and network congestion.

Below is an estimate of the maximum theoretical speeds BSNL can provide in Karnataka on each band.

Band 28 (700 MHz) - 5 MHz → ~37 Mbps (Download)

Band 8 (900 MHz) - 6.2 MHz → ~45 Mbps (Download)

Band 3 (1800 MHz) - 1.2 MHz → ~10 Mbps (Download)

Band 1 (2100 MHz) - 5 MHz → ~37 Mbps (Download)

Band 41 (2500 MHz) - 20 MHz → ~150 Mbps (Download)

Factors That Affect Real-World Speeds:

1. Network congestion: More users reduce speed.
2. Carrier aggregation: If BSNL combines multiple bands, speeds increase.
3. Signal strength & distance from the tower: Weak signals reduce speed.

Since B41 (2500 MHz) has 20 MHz bandwidth, it offers the highest speed (~150 Mbps in ideal conditions). However, B28 (700 MHz) provides better coverage but lower speed (~37 Mbps).

Band 1, 4G always switching to 3G.🥲
